Funeral services for Margie Wood, age 84, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Autry Funeral Home chapel, Jacksonville with Rev. Clifford Taylor officiating.
Burial will follow at Corine Cemetery, Jacksonville.
Mrs. Wood passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010 in Jacksonville.
She was born August 20, 1925 in Jacksonville, TX.
Mrs. Wood was a member of the Church of God in Jacksonville and was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her son Gene Simmons and son-in-law Wade Bolton.
Survivors include daughter Gloria Bolton of Tecula; daughter-in-law Linda Simmons of Jacksonville; brothers Mac McDaniel and Bill McDaniel, both of Jacksonville, Mickey McDaniel of Rusk and Donnie McDaniel of Needville; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Michael Bolton, Richie Simmons, David Socia, Danny Vega, Tyler Guinn, Trevor Guinn, Colton Allen and Kyle Allen.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday, February 19, 2010 at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
