Funeral services for Corky Crowder, age 62, of Bullard, are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Autry Funeral Home chapel, Jacksonville with Bro. Waymon Claiborne and Kevin Hearon officiating.
Burial will be at D/FW National Cemetery in Grand Prairie, TX at 10:00 am Tuesday, February 16, 2010.
Mr. Crowder passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2010 in Tyler.
He was born December 7, 1947 in Gadsden, AL.
Mr. Crowder served in the U. S. Marines, was a member of the Assembly of God in Pierce’s Chapel, was retired from the U. S. Postal Service and a member of Rhones Quarter Bluegrass Band and played bass.
He is preceded in death by his father Grover Madison Crowder, Sr. and step father Wayne Sanders.
Survivors include wife Gemma Crowder of Bullard; mother Mary Sanders of Duncanville; son Corey Crowder and wife Sally of Rowlette; daughter Teri Crowder of Bullard; sisters Veronica Allison of Gun Barrel City, Judy Moses and husband Mike and Jill Lucas, all of Duncanville; and two grandchildren Cole Crowder of Rowlette and Beau Bailey of Bullard.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Bailey, Dennis Bennett, Leon Glass, Billy Roy Hearon, Tony Hearon, Vanoy Tucker and Kevin Hearon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Cobb, Mickey Cobb and Johnny McClelland.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday, February 12, 2010 at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
